Yesterday, my husband and I celebrated our 21st anniversary. 

It seems like there are lots of changes for us over the next few years.  We will be slowly transitioning to an empty nest as my daughter heads to college this fall and my son, a junior in HS, starts looking at which colleges he would like to attend.  Though, we are still about a decade away from Brian retiring, we are already looking at what sort of activities we hope to be doing when that happens.

We have recently invested in back packing equipment and went on our first official backpacking trip a couple of weekends ago.  We had a lot of fun and look forward to many more in our future.

Last weekend, no longer able to stand another day without sewing, I put together this Captain America Pillow for my daughter.  She is very into a few “fandoms” and plans to have them ALL in her dorm room.  So, I am trying to make pillows to incorporate them and also include the jade green color of the comforter she chose.  A challenge but I intend to succeed!

 

I think she likes it.
