This is a quilt that I am making for the daughter of a friend at work. She said her daughter loves Jasmine and it is difficult to find bedding that is just Jasmine. Usually all the princesses are included when you find something that has Jasmine on it. So, I took it upon myself to remedy that situation. I ordered the panel and some coordinating prints and set out designing my quick and easy magic carpet blocks to surround the panel. I dug around in my stash to find some prints that coordinated with the colors in the panel and then had to purchase a few pieces to flesh it out.
Here is the backing made out of the scraps and a coordinating fabric that I decided was too pastel for the front of the quilt. The colors are a bit wild and unusual for a princess quilt, so, I hope she likes them. Anyway, this won’t see the quilting machine in August but hopefully soon after.
