I got my pink round added to my RSC23 quilt! I couldn’t resist those flamingo corners! I was afraid I wasn’t going to have enough pink scraps but I turned out to have PLENTY! I could do at least 2 or 3 more rounds of it if I needed to.
I think I am going to LOVE this quilt when it is finished.
I will link it up to https://superscrappy.blogspot.com/
I was also able to finally start my Temperature Quilt. It is the first time I have ever made one. The January blocks are all going to be these plus signs. I have only managed the first 15 days of January so far. This will be the top row of my quilt with a blank square in the front of the row that will have the month name on it. Each month will have two rows of blocks. The blocks are all 3 inch finished.

These plus signs are made of 1 1/2 inch X 3 1/2 inch strips and 1 1/2 inch squares. The plus is the high temperature for the day and the background is the low temperature for the same day.
It is hard to see in this picture but that third block has snowflakes. I live in the desert southwest US, so, precipitation is a special event around here. I decided that if there was snow or rain, they would have their own special fabrics and will replace the high temp. fabric. The last plus in the row has the rain fabric. We have had very little snow and rain this winter so it will be another rough summer for drought. I am using 5 degree increments on my fabric.
February will be hearts. I am already sick of making hearts and haven’t even started these yet, so I have at least 28 more of them in my near future.
Hope to finish up January tomorrow but I also need to work on an Apron that I need to have finished by Tuesday. Happy Stitching this weekend!
