I managed to work with some more pink fabric for the month of February. I am doing a demo for our church quilting group next week for a Quilt as You Go for Project Linus. I wanted to have a model to show them the finished project, plus wanted to try out all my measurements ahead of time. This Lady and the Tramp fabric has been in my stash for ages. The green is a scrap from a recent backing, the purple and flannel backing purchased recently.

I do plan on typing up a tutorial for the project, when I get that done, I will post it as well. I like to use this method for placemats, table runners and baby quilts when you need them done quickly.

Once you get the piece sewn on, you flip it back and do the quilting. Then I did a self-binding with the flannel.

I even did some quilted triangles on the green round and am really happy with how it came out.
I am currently working on my Project Quilting for this week. It also uses some shades of pink. Here is a sneak peek- embroidery designs from Urban Threads.

And I will leave you with the lovely roses brought to me by my Valentine…

Hope you all have a lovely, stitch filled weekend!
So sweet of you to share your quilt as you go method with your church guild. lovely roses!
